01 Overview
The Zoom integration lets recruiters schedule a candidate interview straight from the candidate's profile. Recruvia creates the Zoom meeting on your own connected Zoom account, keeps scheduling changes in sync, and embeds the live interview inside Recruvia's evaluation screen so interviewers can score candidates in real time. Recruvia never hosts your meetings — every company connects and controls its own Zoom account.
02 Requirements
- A Zoom account for your company (a free Zoom account is enough to start).
- A Recruvia role of Owner or Manager, which can manage integrations.
- Permission within Zoom to authorize third-party apps for your account.
03 Connect Zoom
- In Recruvia, open Company Profile → Integrations.
- On the Zoom card, click Connect Zoom.
- You are redirected to Zoom's secure consent screen. Sign in with the Zoom account you want to host interviews on, and review the requested permissions.
- Click Allow. You return to Recruvia and the Zoom card shows the connected account.
We never see or store your Zoom password — authorization happens entirely on Zoom's consent screen.
04 Permissions we request
Recruvia requests only the permissions needed to schedule and run interviews:
| Permission | Why we request it |
|---|---|
meeting:read:meeting | Read a scheduled interview meeting's details and join URL to keep Recruvia in sync. |
meeting:write:meeting | Create the Zoom meeting on your account when an interview is scheduled. |
meeting:update:meeting | Update the meeting time when an interview is rescheduled. |
meeting:delete:meeting | Delete the meeting when an interview is canceled, so no orphaned meetings are left behind. |
user:read:user | Identify which Zoom account is connected, shown in your Integrations settings. |
user:read:zak | Securely embed the live interview so an interviewer can join your account's meeting from inside Recruvia. |
cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings | Attach the interview's cloud recording/transcript to the candidate record for review. |
05 Using it
- Schedule: open a candidate, choose an interview date and time, and Recruvia creates the Zoom meeting and join link automatically.
- Reschedule or cancel: changing the interview in Recruvia updates or removes the Zoom meeting to match.
- Run the interview: open the interview session screen — the meeting is embedded, and interviewers score the candidate against your rubric while they talk.
06 Recordings & transcripts
If your Zoom account records an interview to the cloud, Recruvia can attach the recording and transcript to the candidate's record so your team can review it later. Recordings are used only for your team's human review. Recruvia does not use Zoom recordings or transcripts to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
07 Disconnect
You can disconnect at any time from Company Profile → Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect. You can also revoke Recruvia's access directly from the Installed Apps page in your Zoom account. After you disconnect, Recruvia stops accessing your Zoom account and deletes the stored authorization tokens. Interviews can no longer launch in-app until you reconnect.
08 Troubleshooting
The connection failed or returned an error
Make sure you signed in to the Zoom account you intend to host interviews on, and that your Zoom role allows authorizing apps. Try again from Company Profile → Integrations.
The interview didn't appear on my Zoom calendar
Confirm the Zoom card shows your account as connected, then re-save the interview. If it still doesn't appear, disconnect and reconnect Zoom.

09 Data & privacy
Recruvia stores your Zoom authorization tokens securely and uses your Zoom data only to provide the interview-scheduling and in-app video features you enabled. For full details on how we handle information from connected services, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Contact support.
